Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account on or using Ride My Ride (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use the App. You must re-accept these Terms when we publish material updates.
Ride My Ride is a marketplace connecting vehicle owners, hosts, and operators ("Owners") with passengers ("Passengers") for vehicle-based experiences in available markets. Available markets may change over time based on payment, legal, operational, and safety requirements.
- Exotic Cars — luxury and high-performance automobile rides
- Boats — watercraft excursions and boat tours
- Jet Skis — personal watercraft experiences
- UTVs — utility terrain vehicle off-road adventures
- ATVs — all-terrain vehicle trail experiences
Ride My Ride facilitates discovery, booking, payment authorization, communication, and related platform services. Ride My Ride does not own, operate, maintain, inspect, supervise, or control any vehicles, vessels, equipment, routes, locations, or experiences listed on the platform.
Owners are independent third-party operators. They are not employees, contractors, agents, partners, joint venturers, representatives, or franchisees of Ride My Ride. Ride My Ride does not provide transportation, tourism, rental, charter, driving, boating, off-road, or guide services. Those services, if offered, are provided solely by the independent Owner.
2A. Available Markets and Local Compliance
Use of the App is limited to available markets supported by Ride My Ride. App availability does not mean that every experience is legal, permitted, insured, or suitable in every city, state, province, territory, or country. Owners and Passengers are responsible for complying with all laws, rules, permits, licenses, insurance requirements, safety requirements, and regulatory obligations that apply where an experience occurs.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or participate in any experience.
- You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
- Each person may maintain only one active account.
4. User Roles
Passengers browse, book, and participate in experiences. Owners list vehicles, create experiences, manage bookings, and receive payouts. Users may switch between roles within the App.
5. Bookings
- All bookings are requests that require Owner approval. A booking is not confirmed until the Owner accepts.
- Bookings include a scheduled start time, end time, number of passengers, and meetup mode (meet at start location or owner pickup).
- Passengers must sign a digital liability waiver before the experience begins.
- Owners may decline booking requests at their discretion.
- Passengers may request to reschedule a confirmed booking. Reschedule requests require Owner approval.
6. Payments, Fees, and Payouts
How payments work:
- When a Passenger requests a booking, a payment authorization hold is placed on their card for the displayed booking amount.
- If the Owner approves, the authorization remains in place while the booking awaits trip start.
- When the Owner starts the trip in the App, the payment is captured (charged). If the booking is declined, cancelled before capture, or otherwise not started, the authorization is released or cancelled according to payment processor rules.
- Owners receive their payout after capture and platform processing, subject to Stripe, fraud review, compliance requirements, and any applicable adjustments.
- Platform fee: The displayed booking amount includes Ride My Ride's platform fee. The platform fee is retained from the displayed subtotal and is not added as a separate charge on top of the displayed amount unless clearly shown before booking.
- Currency: All transactions are processed in USD.
- Payment processing: Payments are processed by Stripe. By using Ride My Ride, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
- Payout timing: Owner payouts are subject to Stripe, bank processing, compliance review, fraud review, refund risk, and the applicable payout schedule. Timing estimates are not guaranteed.
7. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations by Passengers are subject to the following tiered refund schedule based on how far in advance of the scheduled start time the cancellation is made:

- Owner-initiated cancellations always result in a full refund to the Passenger, regardless of timing.
- Refunds are processed back to the original payment method via Stripe. Processing times depend on your financial institution (typically 5–10 business days).
- Ride My Ride reserves the right to issue full refunds at its discretion in cases of safety concerns, fraud, or force majeure.
8. Owner Responsibilities
As an Owner, you are solely responsible for the experience you list, offer, and conduct. You agree to:
- Ensure all listed vehicles, vessels, equipment, routes, and locations are properly maintained, insured, and legally permitted for the experiences you offer.
- Hold all required licenses, permits, registrations, certifications, authorizations, and approvals for the experience in the jurisdiction where it occurs.
- Accurately represent your vehicles and experiences in listings, including photos, descriptions, capacity, and pricing.
- Maintain adequate liability insurance and any commercial, tourism, transportation, marine, off-road, rental, or activity-specific insurance required or appropriate for the experience.
- Provide all necessary safety equipment (e.g., life jackets for watercraft, helmets for off-road vehicles).
- Conduct a pre-experience safety briefing for all Passengers.
- Operate, supervise, and manage the experience in a lawful and reasonably safe manner.
- Ensure the experience environment is suitable for the activity and that you cancel or stop the experience if conditions become unsafe.
- Comply with all applicable federal, national, state, provincial, municipal, local, maritime, roadway, trail, tourism, tax, and consumer protection laws and regulations.
- Pay, report, and remit any taxes, fees, duties, permits, licenses, or other governmental obligations related to your listings, payouts, and services unless Ride My Ride expressly states otherwise in writing.
- Defend, indemnify, and hold Ride My Ride harmless for claims arising from your listing, operation, vehicle, vessel, equipment, permits, insurance, taxes, legal compliance, negligence, misconduct, or interactions with Passengers.
Category-specific requirements:
- Boats & Jet Skis — valid boating license or certification as required by the jurisdiction where the experience occurs; life jackets or flotation devices approved by the applicable local authority for all passengers; compliance with waterway regulations.
- Exotic Cars — valid driver's license and commercial insurance; vehicle inspection current; passengers must remain in passenger seats.
- UTVs & ATVs — helmets approved by applicable local safety standards for all riders; operation on approved trails only; compliance with off-highway vehicle regulations in your jurisdiction.
9. Passenger Responsibilities
As a Passenger, you agree to:
- Follow all safety instructions provided by the Owner before and during the experience.
- Arrive on time and in a condition suitable to participate (no intoxication, appropriate attire, etc.).
- Sign the required liability waiver before the experience begins.
- Understand that the experience is provided by an independent Owner, not by Ride My Ride.
- Review listing details, location, activity type, passenger requirements, and safety expectations before booking.
- Be liable for any damage caused by your negligence during an experience.
- Not operate any vehicle unless explicitly authorized by the Owner and covered by applicable insurance.
- Wear all required safety equipment (life jackets, helmets, etc.) as directed.
- Respect the Owner's property and follow their rules for the experience.
10. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or to facilitate illegal activities.
- List or participate in experiences involving illegal street racing, trespassing, or operation on unauthorized waterways or trails.
- Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or vehicle details.
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users.
- Circumvent the App's payment system to avoid platform fees.
- Create multiple accounts or transfer your account to another person.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the App's operation.
11. Liability Waiver and Assumption of Risk
Vehicle experiences inherently involve risk. By booking or participating in any experience on Ride My Ride, you acknowledge that:
- Experiences involving exotic cars, boats, jet skis, UTVs, and ATVs carry inherent risks including but not limited to injury, property damage, drowning, or death.
- You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.
- You must sign a digital liability waiver before each experience confirming your understanding and acceptance of these risks.
- Your digital signature is intended to be legally binding to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
- The waiver applies to inherent risks of the activity and does not waive liability where applicable law does not allow a waiver.
12. Limitation of Liability
Ride My Ride is a marketplace platform only. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Ride My Ride is not liable for injuries, deaths, property damage, delays, cancellations, payment processor delays, weather conditions, equipment failures, or losses arising from experiences booked through the App.
- Ride My Ride does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, insurance, permits, licenses, condition, operation, availability, or suitability of any vehicle, vessel, equipment, location, route, experience, Owner, or Passenger.
- Ride My Ride does not inspect, certify, supervise, direct, or control Owners, vehicles, vessels, equipment, routes, locations, or experiences.
- Ride My Ride's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the App shall not exceed the platform fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- Ride My Ride is not responsible for weather conditions, equipment failures, or other events beyond our control.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ride My Ride, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the App or participation in any experience.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.
- Content you provide (listings, reviews, photos).
- If you are an Owner: your listings, vehicles, vessels, equipment, routes, locations, operations, safety practices, permits, licenses, insurance, taxes, negligence, misconduct, or services provided to Passengers.
14. Account Deletion
- You may delete your account at any time through the App (Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account).
- Account deletion permanently removes your profile, listings, and personal data within 30 days.
- Existing confirmed bookings must be resolved (completed or cancelled) before deletion takes effect.
- Financial records may be retained as required by law.
15. Intellectual Property
The Ride My Ride name, logo, and App design are our intellectual property. Content you upload (vehicle photos, experience descriptions) remains yours, but you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display it within the App for the purpose of operating the platform.
16. Privacy
Your use of Ride My Ride is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
17. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes:
- We will update the version number and effective date.
- You will be required to re-accept the updated Terms within the App before continuing to use it.
- Continued use after notification and re-acceptance constitutes agreement to the updated Terms.
18. Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, without prior notice, if you:
- Violate these Terms or applicable laws.
- Engage in fraudulent or unsafe behavior.
- Receive repeated complaints from other users.
- Attempt to circumvent platform fees or security measures.
19. Dispute Resolution
- Informal resolution: Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us at support@ridemyride.app and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
- Formal dispute process: Any dispute not resolved informally will be handled under the dispute resolution process required by applicable law and the terms presented at the time of use.
- Class action waiver: You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in a class action.
20. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law unless mandatory local law provides otherwise. Owners and Passengers remain responsible for the laws of the jurisdiction where each experience occurs.
21. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
